Daring to Thrive

We are back with Daring to Thrive 2.0

As the world was emerging from the pandemic in 2022, we launched Daring to Thrive, a program to support the well-being of the Georgetown University community.

Our monthly workshops were buzzing with phenomenal participant reviews from departments across the University; and the one-on-one private coaching sessions were a game-changer. Now, we are thrilled to present Daring to Thrive 2.0, an evolved iteration of the program incorporating your valuable insights and feedback.

GUWellness has partnered again with mindfulness expert, leadership coach, and licensed psychotherapist, Lisa McCrohan, to help our leaders learn, grow, and deepen a culture of wellness across the University. Not a manager? As long as you are inspired to build or enhance a culture of wellness in any area of your life, you will benefit.

Daring to Thrive 2.0 includes:

  • 7 group Zoom workshops
  • 2 in-person group events on GU Main Campus (October 2023 and March 2024)
  • 1-1 coaching conversations

The Daring to Thrive experience equip leaders with the knowledge, presence and mindset to boost their own wellness in addition to the wellness culture within their departments, across the University and out in their communities.

This program is designed to both positively impact workplace wellness culture and support our faculty and staff to thrive through:

  • practicing new wellness habits
  • enhancing leadership skills
  • elevating leadership presence
  • fostering a mindset for growth, possibility, creativity, and potential
  • deepening emotional intelligence and communication skills
  • managing change with clarity, courage and authenticity

It utilizes the best practices in workplace wellness, mindfulness, positive psychology, leadership, compassion, and communication to support managers in elevating their own well-being and that of their departments.

Every workshop will include a leadership wellness theme, an introduction to the theme, a leadership practice, and a resource for you to bring back to your department (family, church, community) to support your team’s communication, connection and culture of wellness.
