Mind Body Connections

All of us have gone through a lot in the last two years: so much change so quickly, blurred boundaries between work and home, increased levels of stress and overwhelm, and periods of burnout and fatigue.

Now more than ever, employees’ wellbeing is critical to the wellbeing of any organization and department. Workplace culture is the foundation to an organization’s success and managers set the tone of the culture in the departments they lead. But managers, too, have been going through these challenging times and they need support!

GUWellness has partnered with mindfulness expert, coach and licensed therapist, Lisa McCrohan, to offer a new learning opportunity for managers to help them lead a culture of wellness in their departments. Not a manager? If you are in a leadership role in any area of your life, you will benefit.

Introducing “Daring to Thrive

Monthly Workshops + Coaching Conversations

Daring to Thrive is designed to give you pertinent practices that you can put into place the minute you walk out the door to elevate your own well-being and to lead your teams. It’s streamlined, focused and useful.

The Daring to Thrive experience creates a supportive and educational environment for managers to deepen their wellness skills, leadership presence, and mindset so they and their teams thrive in these challenging and changing times.

This program is strengths-based, value-driven, and purpose-focused.

It utilizes the best practices in workplace wellness, mindfulness, positive psychology, leadership, compassion, and communication to support managers in elevating their own well-being and that of their departments.

In Daring to Thrive, we define wellness as not just the typical wellness practices of diet, exercise, healthy habits, and sleep (which are super critical!). Wellness must also include emotional and mental health, social connection, and the need for meaning and purpose. Basically, we are about supporting you as a whole person in an integrative approach to wellbeing and leadership!

Monthly Workshop: Every month, October – June, there will be a workshop on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1:30-2:30 p.m..

Every workshop will include a leadership wellness theme, an introduction to the theme, a leadership practice, and a resource for you to bring back to your department (family, church, community) to support your team’s communication, connection and culture of wellness.

Topics we will cover:

  • Core values at work and life
  • Mindset reset
  • Addressing burn out
  • Better boundaries
  • Crafting your wellness vision
  • How to move from fragmented to focused
  • Making wise and calm decisions
  • Healthy communication
  • Improving work-life balance
  • Deepening your authentic leadership presence
  • Why compassion and empathy work at work
  • Being the leader of your own life
