Salary Continuance benefits replace 100% of your income in the event illness or injury. Salary continuance is short term disability leave that is fully paid for, and administered, by your department.
Long Term Disability benefits begin after you are unable to work, due to an illness or injury, for 90 calendar days and provides a benefit of 60% of base pay to a maximum paid benefit of $15,000 per month.
