Special Update from CIEB about CIGNA Dental Network

We are pleased to announce the availability of the CIGNA Dental network discounts for our members in the U.S. with CIGNA Dental coverage, beginning in April 2008. Available in most states, this network of more than 100,000 general dentists and specialists is our dental members’ assurance of lower out-of-pocket costs and quality care – when using network providers in the U.S.

Here are the primary advantages for employees or their covered family members who choose a CIGNA Dental Network provider:

– Lower out-of-pocket costs for covered services
– No balance billing, which means that a network dentist cannot charge beyond the negotiated, discounted fee for covered services
– Participating dentists submit claims to CIEB on behalf of a member, eliminating the need for a member to submit a claim
– Members will not need a referral to seek care from a participating CIGNA Network dentist, and no new ID card is necessary. (They just show their CIGNA International ID card on their first visit.)

Members are not required to select a Dental Network provider; however, we encourage them to choose from this network because of all of the above advantages.

We will be announcing The CIGNA Dental Network availability to our members shortly. They will be able to locate providers via our secure Member Website.
