GUWellness Walking Challenge

Walking the dog, power walking, jogging, running, biking, gardening, taking the stairs, swimming, dancing, playing frisbee or tag with your nephew...IT ALL COUNTS.  Just get moving.

Who:   All Georgetown University faculty and staff

When:  June 2 - 27, 2008

  • Register and receive a free pedometer (Only a few remaining!! Sign up today!)
  • Weekly prizes and recognition for "most steps"
  • Individuals and Teams encouraged to participate
  • Access Walking Challenge Resource Center for helpful tools, tips and updates 

It's as simple as 1, 2, 3...

  1. REGISTER (click here) as an individual or as a team*
    *team members will be asked to enter a team name when registering; be sure all members enter the same name. 
  2. Each day, LOG your activity/steps
  3. Check wellness.georgetown.edu for weekly prize winners and the GUWellness Walking Challenge Grand Prize winners! 

Prizes will be awarded according to highest average number of steps taken each week.  Rather run, swim or bike?  No problem.  You can convert other physical activity into steps.
